An ORI (Originating Agency Identifier) is a nine-character number that identifies an agency that has met the requirements for a fingerprint-based background check. It is used to request fingerprint supplies and training aids from the FBI, and to schedule Level II background checks for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).

You can find your ORI number in a few ways:

Application Process:
If you are applying for a license, your ORI number may be included in the application.
 
Employer:
If you are offered a job, your company administrator may provide your ORI number.
 
Regulating Agency:
If you are an employer and don't know your ORI number, you can contact your regulating agency for the specific ORI number for the job or license type.
 
Clerk of Court:
If the court needs a report, you can ask the Clerk of Court for your ORI number
